Transmission

the biggest deception one can have with the estafette is it's speed , it's got incredible short gear ratios , there isn't a transmission adaptable to replace the estafettes , but in the 60-70's , there was a few small sports car constructers that used the estafette's transmsission as a starting point - changed the primary drive gear and crown to legnthen the ratios , i found in the LOT , a tranny guru , specialized in the restaoration of these cars tranny's , he had 2 of these gears left in his stock , i bought one , but 700 euros !!! yikes , math done , even with this tremendous expence , my van is still cheaper than the VW baywindow at the buy so an hour n a half drive - three hours there an back , i got my gear

voila heres the village  ( Prayssac ) were the trasmsission guru lives and my new primary drive  gear ratio

his house and shop ( DMT 19 ave Colonel Pardes , 05-65-30-68-60 )

some of his projects

mr Dalmoli  himself showing me my new primary drive and crown gear

his rocket tunned motor for one of his projects , this almost fits in an estafette

bottom right corner is the last two of it's kind , the rest is for any other tranny

his VW tranny for bug and van , 5 speeds

me smoken the bong with freddy

as you can tell that this tranny was full of water , everything rusted - garbage

Transmission 2

this bearing is wobly , seems i found out why the 4th gear makes a lil noise

this is eat'n by the grown gear , in anycase i gotta change it for the other one

primary drive and it's gears , i gotta change it

there got all those gears i need off the primary drive , gotta go get new bearing an seals for monday

me tryin to get the clips back on rod

crown gear to change

primary drive rod the new next to the old one stripped down

new primary drive gear and it's crwn , 7X33 instead of 7X41 , you do the math

here they are done

these are le rings , bearing and seals that needed changin

or at least i think still had to put it back in , spent some time doin this
